Happy 3-day weekend, folks! We're hoping to do some grilling over the next couple of days, so I thought I'd share one of my earliest cooking discoveries - bourbon glaze! The glaze is an all-purpose glaze perfect on poultry, beef, pork, and fish. My husband even puts some on his sandwiches!
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Bragg liquid amino or Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup lemon juice or a splash of lemon extract
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
a pinch of salt and pepper

All-Purpose Bourbon Glaze
(I usually make half this recipe, which is enough for 4 chicken breasts)
1 cup bourbon1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Bragg liquid amino or Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup lemon juice or a splash of lemon extract
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
a pinch of salt and pepper
- Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Simmer, stirring frequently, for 20-25 minutes or until glaze has thickened.
- Brush on your meat of choice throughout the cooking process.
Enjoy!
