Cast Iron Cookie

Here's a cast iron spin on the traditional chocolate chip cookie:



Cast Iron Cookie 
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips

Topping:
  • marshmallows
  • chocolate sauce


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.  Set aside.
  3. In separate bowl, beat butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Gradually beat in flour mixture until combined. Add chocolate chips.
  5. Spread into 10 inch cast iron pan.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes.  Remove from oven.
  7. Set oven to broil. Top cookie with marshmallows.
  8. Place cookie back in oven.  WATCH carefully!  Remove as soon as marshmallows are slightly browned.
  9. Drizzle with chocolate sauce.
